OPI

Ei - en aio esitellä kaikkia OPIn lakkojani, sellaiset postaukset eivät taida enää tähän blogiin oikeastaan kuulua. En aio myöskään kertoa teille sen enempää mikä OPI on. Sen sijaan isken ruutuun jo kuukausi sitten ottamani kuvat tekemäni China Glaze -postauksen yhteydessä. Välillä on hauskaa vain kuvailla lakkoja ilman sen suurempaa tarkoitusta. Samantyyppinen kuvasetti löytyy myös Essien -lakoista, katsotaan tulevatko ne esiintymään blogissa joku päivä. Ainiin, blogilla on nyt viralliset Facebook-sivut, sinne pääsee tästä.

/ No - I'm not going to show you my every OPI -polish, that kind of posts are done in this blog. I'm not also going to tell you more about what kind of polish OPI is. Instead I'm just showing you those photos I took almost a month ago when taking pictures of my China Glazes. Sometimes is just fun to take pictures of nail polishes without any higher purpose. I have same kind of set of photos about some Essies, we'll see if those will find their way to this blog someday. By the way, the blog has official Facebook pages now, you can go there from here./

Viimeisen vuoden aikana olen huomannut OPIn lakkojen hiipivän kasvavassa määrin kynsilakkalaatikkoihini. Ja tämä ei ole syyttä: ihanan leveät sudit, kauniit sävyt ja laadukkaat creme-lakat ovat todellakin omaan mieleeni. Ulkomailta tilattuna OPIen hinta ei myöskään päätä huimaa ja välillä Suomestakin voi hyvillä hinnoilla näitä löytää. 

Uusimmat lakkani ovat OPIn kevään Brazil -kokoelmasta. Odottelen innolla parempia kuvia tulevasta kesän kokoelmasta, mutta tällä hetkellä näyttäisi lakkojen olevan vähän tylsiä ja jo nähtyjä neonvärejä.

This isn't without a reason: those wide brushes, beautiful tones and creme polishes of a great quality are really to my liking. And when ordering OPIs from abroad their price is really affordable and sometimes you can even find some cheap OPIs from Finland.

My newest OPIs are from this spring's collection called Brazil. I'm really looking forward for those better photos about this summer's collection but now it would seem that those polishes are quite boring or at least I have them all already in some form. You can't do neoncolors too many times. /

Suurennuslasi kameralle

Vähän aika sitten tein hankinnan jonka hyödyllisyydestä en ollut ihan sataprosenttisen varma. Oma kameran (Canon 1100D) putkeni on 18-55 mm, joten turhan lähelle kynsiä sillä ei pääse. Tarpeeksi lähelle kyllä, mutta ei sillä ihan pienimpiä yksityiskohtia kuvata. Macrolinssin ostamista en kuitenkaan ole harkinnut, se päästää jo niinkin lähelle, että suurin osa sen ominaisuuksista jäisi käyttämättä. 

Tähän ongelmaan on kuitenkin ratkaisu, sillä tilasin kameraan setin "suurennuslaseja". Suurennuslasi kiinnitetään linssinsuojuksen tilalle. Laseja tuli setissä neljää eri voimakkuutta: +1, +2, +4 ja +10. Arvatenkin +10 päästää jo melko lähelle kuvattavaa kohdetta.

/Some time ago I bought something that I wasn't completely sure if it would turn out to be useful. My camera is Canon's 1100D and the camera's lens is 18-55 mm, so I can't get too close to the object I'm trying to photograph. I don't think I will be buying a macro lens since I really don't need to get THAT close. 

There's a solution for this situation though. I ordered a set of "magnifying glasses" for the camera. The glass goes to replace the lens cap while taking a photo. The set I ordered had four different magnitudes: +1, +2, +4 and +10. The +10 lens really gets you close to the target./

Aika iso etu siis pienellä muutoksella, kuvanlaatukaan ei nyt hirveästi tuossa huonone. Nämä kuvat on vain nopeasti napattu eri linsseillä, sen tarkemmin en alkanut sommittelemaan tai pohtimaan mitä kuvaan. Menin vain niin lähelle kuin pääsin. Joten tässäpä uudet kuvauskaverini, ei sen kummempaa! :)
